Khorchak Tulku Rinpoche was born in 1987 as the son of a great yogi in Nepal. He comes from a yogic lineage practicing Dzogchen. At a very young age he recognized himself as the reincarnation of the Sakya Lama Pasang Nyendrak from Western Tibet. Since his childhood his life has been immersed in Buddha Dharma. Starting with the Nyingma tradition of his father and later being trained at Sakya College in Dehra Dun (India) where he received the degree of Khenpo. Futhermore he has received teachings from Kagyu, making him into a non-sectarion teacher of the Vajrayana teachings. In 2023 he retrired as a teacher from the Sakya and returned to his motherland Nepal, where he wants to dedicate his life to the practice and guidance of the Buddha Dharma to anyone. In Kathmandu he teaches locals from the Himalaya region in Nepal. He purchased a plot of land in het holy place of Namo Boudha (1,5 hours driving from Kathmandu) where he will build his retreat centre. Rinpoche regularly travels the world to teach Dharma: Singapore, Mongolia, Vietnam, India, Indonesia and Malaysia. You will find his teaching schedule here on this website.

Buddhist Retreat Centre: Namo Boudha – Nepal
Khorchak Tulku is currently building a retreat centre in Namo Boudha, Nepal. This is situated about 1,5 hours driving outside of Kathmandu. Namo Boudha is a famous pilgrimage place for Buddhists where the Buddha in a former life as a bodhisattva offered his body to a hungry dying tigress with 5 cubs. Offering his own body as flesh shows his lack of self grasping. Just compassion to feed a hungry wild animal that would otherwise die
The retreat place will have 3 retreat rooms on the ground floor and an assembly hall. The first floor will house 9 retreat rooms. Currently the plan is to only build the first two floors. Maybe in the future the building will be extended with three more floors.
It’s Rinpoche’s vision to stimulate retreat in the Buddhist traditions. Anyone with a sincere interest in long term retreat is welcome. The retreat centre will be donation based, hence helping those who wish to embark upon long meditation retreats.
In the future it’s Rinpoche’s wish to teach more advanced practices like Lam Dre (Sakya) and Tri Yeshe Lama (Longchen Nyingthig).
Starting around winter of 2026 the first retreat will start.
